In 1850, there are 3 different slave owners named John Sanders on the Slave Schedule. This particular 1850 slave schedule for John A. Sanders matches his 1850 census location with his neighbors on either side, and is thought to be the correct one for him, listing him as the owner of 29 slaves in District 68, Wythe, Virginia, United States.^[1]
