In 1850 Ann Burns, then a widow, held the following enslaved persons: a thirty-eight year old man, [1] a twenty-five year old man, [2] a twenty-one year old man, [3] a twenty-six year old woman, [4] an eighteen year old man, [5] a fourteen year old girl, [6] a six year old boy, [7] a four year old boy, [8] a three year old boy, [9] and a one year old boy. [10]
