Note the children associated with Frances Rutledge AKA Frances Hill. They include daughters Carrie and Celestia. Carrie was married to Willis Eubanks, and her death certificate tells us the following. Carrie died (age 47) on 18 March 1926 in West Point, Troup, Georgia, United States.[2]

As indicated, Joseph Rutledge had children by multiple women that he enslaved. The following illustrates this point regarding the descendants of Francis Hill and Lillie Rutledge. The John Thomas below is John Thomas Winston, son of Rosa Winston, grandson of Belle Winston, and great grandson of Lillie and Joseph Copeland.
Quoting from, We Call Our Daddy Mister In Defiance of Convention : Life and Times at the Rose Hill Plantation By James E. Schell ยท 2006 page 98
"H.C. Copeland Jr (HC) and Allison Davidson, both of whom were very fair-skinned, in fact, the latter, a mulatto. led the protest. H.C. was John Thomas first cousin on his mother's side. John Thomas' mother Rosa, and H.C.'s mother Janie shared the same grandfather who was white. H.C.'s father, Mr Hill Copeland Sr, was also a mulatto thus making H.C. technically a mulatto as well."
H.C.'s mother Janie was the daughter of Carrie Eubanks, whose death information was shown above. Janie was granddaughter of Frances Hill and Joe Rutledge.
