This page's purpose is to record the enslaved people owned by Mary McConnell (White) Overton (1782-abt.1862), and attempt to connect them to their families. Her husband owned a plantation called Travellers Rest in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee in addition to other properties in other locations in Tennessee. He left all of his slaves to her when he died in 1833. No slaves were mentioned in Mary's will or estate inventory.[1][2]

More research is needed to determine if there are other slavery records related to Mary.
