- This slave schedule I think there was a mistake on the middle name when the census was taken. In the census it is listed as Mary B Runnels. It most likely should of been Mary E Runnels. In the regular 1860 census I looked through every page of the census Mary Elizabeth "Oneal" Runnels is the only one I could find. On Slave Schedule it shows her next to her husband Hiram Alexander Runnels. It's not unusual for the wife to have a slave schedule on her own, usually they are slaves that are inherited from someone, most times a parent.
