The purpose of this page is to document and identify the slaves held by Nathan Winslow (1795-1873) in Perquimans County to assist descendants in connecting to their enslaved ancestors.

According to his bio, Nathan was born into the Society of Friends but was disowned because of his ownership of slaves. Nathan's father Caleb had manumitted his slaves so Nathan received none by inheritance.
