Deeds

In August 1858 Niah Orr files a deed to "my daughter Mrs. Arminta J Simms wife of Robert W Simms", two slaves:^[1]

Job, a man about 28 years old, dark complexion

Margaret, a woman about 20 years old, yellow complexion

In December 1858, N W Orr purchased one slave from the estate of her son, Phillip. The slave was Armstead for $500.^[2]

Inheritance

In 1859, she was bequeathed 3 slaves in the will of her son, Jonathan L Orr.^[3]
