Summary
- The Will of Peyton Randolph was written on 29 February 1784. Peyton Randolph died on 15 May 1784 and his will was probated on 7 June 1784 in Henrico County, Virginia. It named 12 enslaved people.
- On 6 June 1785, inventories were recorded for three of Peyton Randolph's plantations in Virginia: Buffalo Plantation in Prince Edward County, Bush River Plantation in Prince Edward County, and Fighting Creek Plantation in Powhatan County. These inventories listed 81 enslaved people at Buffalo, 39 enslaved people at Bush River, and 121 enslaved people at Fighting Creek.
- On 1 August 1785, an inventory was recorded for Peyton Randolph's home plantation Wilton Estate (also known as World's End) in Henrico County, Virginia. This inventory listed 101 enslaved people.
- Buffalo Plantation was bequeathed to his son Richard Kidder Randolph.
- Bush River Plantation was bequeathed to his son Peyton Randolph Jr.
- Fighting Creek Plantation was bequeathed to his wife Lucy (Harrison) Randolph for her lifetime, then to his son William Randolph.
