Location: Elbert, Georgia, United States
Surnames/tags: Banks Slavery
Ralph Banks Jr. (1796-1871) inherited "two tracts of Land adjoining on Leatherwood creek in Franklin county]" and one named slave from his father Ralph Banks (1757-1823) in Elbert County, Georgia,[1] He acquired one more unnamed enslaved person during his lifetime.
The name Linzy might match that in the probate document[2]. of Marion Banks' father Ralph (written at about the same time as the Will, in 1823), but isn't an exact match. So it is not clear whether or not they are the same person.
