    Robert Willis probate on 17 Apr 1844.

In his will, signed December 23, 1843, he willed the following slaves: "to say my daughter Antonet, I give the following Negroes a young woman called Cate & girle named tuner & one boy named wade all be for her with their increase & to be heird by their heirs of hir Body fo ever.....to my Daughter Ellen I give on negro woman & child named Harriott & mug also one negro girl namd hestr & one boy namd Chalres….on the condition they shall be hirs & hir heirs after hir…..if either of my SIngle Daughters Does Marry & Die with out issue that their property Shall be returned back to my estate. & I give my Daughtr Metilda Reed one negro Boy exclusive of what she formerly had namd Sam, & which is to hir & hir heirs for ever...." All other "property" he left to his wife to then be divided equally among all his children upon his wife's death. His will was recorded in Will Book "D", page 48 on 17 Apr 1844 in the Barnwell District.
