Widow Sarah Fenwick
Sarah Fenwick, the widow of Robert Fenwick, died not too long after her husband (1726-27). Her will stated that half of her property was to go to her niece Sarah Hext, whose husband was Hugh Hext, the administrator of her estate. The other half of the estate was to go to Hugh Hext to have and dispose of as he saw fit.
Sarah Fenwick's will named the following enslaved persons:[2]

Sarah Fenwick's 1728 probate inventory only gave one name for the enslaved she held, and instead just recorded male/female, and adult/child status:[3]
