In 1796 Hampshire, Virginia, Samuel Walker legally owned Susannah & her Negro child, who were bequeathed to his new wife, Anne Lawson by her father, Thomas Lawson, in his 1795 will.^[1]

In 1810 census of Hampshire, Virginia, Samuel Walker owned three enslaved people.^[2]
