Slave Owner

In his Last Will and Testament, Thomas left his enslaved woman Alice, daughter of Phillis, and her increase to his son Thomas, his enslaved woman Phillis to son Jacob, and enslaved woman Jin to his daughter Deborah Richards. He granted his enslaved woman Dinah her freedom.[1] The balance of his enslaved people named in his estate inventory were to remain with his wife, and at her decease, split among his children, and grandchildren.[2]
