Introduction
Property
Thomas Freeland owned Windsor Plantation, likely the plantation his father left him. It is not clear which of the enslaved were on the plantation. Most likely the ones listed in his probate inventory. More research is needed.
Slaves
In the 1810 census Thomas held 14 enslaved people in Calvert, Maryland, United States.[1]
By 1820 he had amassed 80 enslaved person, possibly from his father's estate when he died in 1817.[2]
