- All other slaves (number and names not given) not already mentioned in the will were to be equally divided between sons Thomas, Jesse, and Benjamin, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sally [Sarah] Taylor (widow of his late son, John Taylor). The slaves bequeathed to the sons were given absolutely. The slaves bequeathed to Sally Taylor were given for her lifetime. After her death, they (and their increase) were to be given to granddaughter, Sally Cantey Taylor, daughter of his late son John Taylor. At Sally Taylor's death, if she left no living children, the slaves and their increase were to be given to Thomas's grandsons, William Jesse Taylor, George Taylor, and Alexander Taylor, the three youngest sons of John Taylor, deceased.
