The purpose of this page is to identify the slaves of Thomas Wood and hopefully find their descendants.
Finding his will would be very helpful; I haven't yet found it via FS or Ancestry search, but I haven't flipped page-by-page yet.Weatherall-96 04:18, 4 April 2022 (UTC)

In September 1828, Thomas Woodplaced an advertisement in the Western Carolinian: "Ran Away. From the subscriber, on the 4th inst. a mulatto fellow named TOM, between 35 and 40 years old, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, has a scar on his throat, stutters badly, his two toes next the big toe grow together. A very liberal reward will be given any one who will take up said boy, and deliver him to the subscriber, 9 miles from Salisbury, on the Wilkesboro' road, or confine him in hail, and give me information. Sept. 8th, 1828 THOMAS WOOD[4]
