In 1850, William Hubbard held twenty-eight slaves in Marlboro County.^[1]

Division of Slaves

William died intestate. An appraisement and division of land and slaves was completed December 24, 1857.^[2] In November 1858, his widow, Honor, petitioned the court to be allowed to distribute the assets of the estate.
