Information: Smith Cemetery is one of six cemeteries in Lawrence County that are known as 'Smith Cemetery.' It is often confused with the Smith Cemetery in Leoma, which is connected with the Busby Church of God.

Smith Cemetery's first marked burial was in 1875 - a young woman named Racela E. Hughes. Other marked burials begin in the 1900s onward.

This cemetery has few named graves, most of the markers consist of either a white, wooden cross or a fieldstone. It is presumed to still be in use as of May 8, 2022, but it has begun to be largely neglected.
