Chappel of Figueiredo family in the church of Santa Maria in Bragança Portugal. In the church of Santa Maria in Bragança there is the chapel dedicated to the Our Lady of Pleasures (Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres), it has the coat of arms of the Figueiredos and an inscription that stated it was erected in 1585 by Pedro de Figueiredo.

- On the top has the Figueiredo coat of arms, with the inscription "Esta capela mandou fazer Pedro de Figueiredo alcaide-mor 585":

- Because of this inscription, Pedro de Figueiredo, is known in the genealogical literature as the institutor of the chapel, but in reality it was originaly built by his father in law, Rodrigo Lopes, a New-Christian wealthy merchant.[1] Probably the inscription was added later to clean up the stain of this New-Christian (Jewish) relation in a so prestigious and important family.
