These images are meant to be representative of Sororities, and Fraternities, not necessarily an exact duplication of their logo, shield, or crest, as most of those are under copyright; nor is it intended that this homage infringe on any copyright, which remains with the organisations so named. In creating these images no disrespect towards the associations, or their members, is intended, but rather the intent is to honour the (mostly deceased) members of these organisations by adding a small image to their biographical profiles.

An artistic rendering of the Gamma Phi Delta shield, using the colours and the basic shape of the original, and many of the elements of the original, but not meant to be an absolute duplication of the real thing. Of interest to some - Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Inc was originally Phi Gamma Delta Sorority, with the name change occurring circa 1945-1947, after a law suit was filed against Phi Gamma Delta Sorority by Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity for illegal use of the name. Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, a Caucasian fraternal group (comprised of wealthy and very powerful men — i.e. "United States presidents, senators, congressmen, and extremely, extremely wealthy men"), founded over 100 years prior to the founding of Phi Gamma Delta Sorority, had no actual legal right to the name, as they had failed to file for copyright of the name, whereas the Sorority had done so. However, the Sorority's legal counsel advised that they could not sustain a "very long and very costly legal battle", so the decision was made to settle for costs (all legal costs, plus the replacement of all sorority pins, the reprinting of all sorority handbooks, constitutions, stationery, etc, plus paying the incorporation costs for whatever the new Sorority name was to be). Thus it was they voted to change their name, and the rest, as they say, was history.
