May we use donnachaidh.com as an approved source? This was written by Gordon MacGregor and is largely idendtical to sections of Red Book of Scotland that refer to Robertsons and Reids:

Yes, that would be a great addition.

Can you give that PDF file a proper name and upload it to archive.org? This would give it a central location and allow use to cite/link to specific pages within the document. (That is not supported in the standard PDF format.)

When the Red Book is the actual source of the information, that should be cited too.

This is a great resource - thank you! Do you have resource pages for counties as well, similar to the England project?

No, I don't have resources grouped by counties. I only see one source above that is county specific. If you are aware of publications that are county specific, please let me know.

Hello Rick,

Thank you for managing the source list for Scotland. I found the following source that could prove to be a valuable resource for Scotland-oriented genealogists. This book may be listed on one of the sites you mentioned but it is informative, historical and interesting enough to be listed separately.

Thank you. There are multiple editions and I am unable to find an author. I created a page for it and added it to the above list.
