Is there a Google Sheet to help create citations for the WA BDM?
posted by Judy (Dyer) Weggelaar
Hi Judy, there is one for WA listed under the link for "Genealogy Citation Generators" which seems to be a directory for lots of the generators. You'll find this from the project page, Project Resources, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Australia_Project_Resources#Citation_Assistance

If you have any trouble with it, post in the google group, I'm sure someone will be able to help. Regards, Margaret

Hi, if you're still interested, there is a spreadsheet that produces a bio and references for all Australian state BDM sites. I've just recently added WA.

For WA you have to transpose the data from row to column, using a second sheet on the spreadsheet (there is a google sheets bug that means you can't just past transposed). You have to accept that it runs a script (to clear data), and also that it links to another spreadsheet (that contains a database of locations, names etc.) Also the format of the reference is slightly different to the standard on this page, because the way the spreadsheet works is that it just picks data from the input fields, and then outputs bio and references using a common format for all states.
