Goals
The goal of this project is to research and follow the South Family from New Jersey as they moved westward. Thomas South dnd Dorothy (Lippington) South had several sons and resided in Middlesex New Jersey in mid 1700s. Thomas South's wife, Dorothy Lippington, was a descendant of Mayflower Pilgirm, Edward Fuller. There was another South family in New Jersey, so need to look into this also.
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Gayle Foster.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Review book by Christine South Gee, published in the 1960s. Genealogical Notes of the South Family - published 1963 by Christine South Gee. It is available online http://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=wu.89066291659;view=1up;seq=6
- Located and analyze other sources;
- Encourage males named SOUTH to take Y-DNA test (FamilyTreeDNA) and join the South DNA Project.

I've added your project to a better category so people can find you. Sounds like it would fit well in our One Name Studies Project. Thanks for starting it!
