Southport Lawn Cemetery

Located on Melia Court, Southport. The 4.84 hectare Southport Lawn Cemetery is controlled by the City of Gold Coast as trustee. The earliest recorded burial was 21 May 1970. As at 2009 there were approximately 5166 burials and 1283 ashes interments. The lawn cemetery is across the road from Gold Coast University Hospital. The Southport Sharks, and Sharks Event Centre is also close by. There is limited street parking, but when the gates are open you are able to drive through the cemetery. The cemetery has some shelter, seating, and some pleasant short walks.
