History
St. Mark's Church was built in 1895-96 on land donated by Thomas Pirie and Agnes Moir (Ruddick) Pirie. The community built the church from logs from the area and shingles and lumber brought in from Golden. The church opened in June 1896. Billy Logan later built pews for the church. The church was listed as a Presbyterian church but later became an Anglican church.
In 1990, work was done to restore and renovate the church and cemetery. In 1996, a centenary celebration was held.
