The goal of this project is to remember those men and women listed on the war memorial located within St Mark's Church, Darlington, County Durham, England.

The War Memorial consists of a recorded peal of bells, along with a wooden board with three panels, mounted on the north-side wall of the baptistry at the western end of the church.

The left-hand panel contains the first block of names
The centre panel reads:
To the Greater
Glory of God
The recorded peal of
bells was installed by
friends in memory of
those of this church
and district who gave
their lives in the
war of
1939 - 1945.
The right-hand panel contains the second block of names
The ledge at the bottom is inscribed:
Rest eternal grant to them, O Lord.

In addition to this memorial, there is also a plaque in the chapel, in memory of George Burton who lost his life in the First World War.
