About
St Saviour's Cemetery, also known as Glen Osmond Anglican Cemetery, was established in 1855. Along with St Saviour's Church, it was built on land donated by Osmond Gilles. Many early colonist families are buried here, the cemetery has been listed as a Local Heritage Place by the City of Burnside.

Lewis William Gilles II (1796-1884)
Naval Officer, Businessman and Pastoralist, he introduced the first Merino sheep into South Australia. Brother of Osmond Gilles, who donated the land on which the cemetery and church were built.
