The goal of this project is to ...

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Michele Krogh.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

  • Looking for Stackpole DNA cousins in Ireland
  • Looking for connection between Canadian Stackpoles and American Stackpoles
  • Looking for Michael & William Stackpole's brother John and his family, born abt 1778, based on brothers' ages. (Said to be living in Grange, Cork in 1829.
  • Michael and William's families settled in Ottawa (Bytown then) by 1829 (Michael).

Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!

Hi Michele,

I've added your project to a better category so people can find you. Sounds like it would fit well in our One Name Studies Project, as well as connecting with our DNA Project. Thanks for starting it!

My immigrant ancestor, Michael Stackpole, had "Glanworth, Glanworth, Cork" listed in Canadian records as his home. Brothers John & William were still living in Grange, County Cork in 1829, known to Lieut. Roberts of Shanballymore?
