- Stetson Kindred Genealogic Index, referred to as the "Numbering Key" in pamphlet Vol 1, No 1, Forward Pages, as an important tool adopted by the original writers of "The Descendants..." to keep the various "cousins" organized.
- The Index displays each person with the birth surname Stetson's relationship to Cornet Robert Stetson, giving a number that relates to their birth order and the birth order of their ancestors. Each person in "The Descendants..." and in Stetson Kindred records carries this unique number. Some WikiTree editors place this key in the Profile under "Research Notes" to keep the generations in alignment.
