This page was created to record profiles of people who were recorded on records as "a stranger". Please feel free to add profiles of persons that were living in the Colonies as early as the landing of the Mayflower in 1620 to present.

The term "stranger" is thought to be someone we don't know, though I've found it mentioned in records related to Native American and African American families. And since have found that the term takes on a deeper meaning as described below:

Strangers: Wiecek notes that the reference to "strangers" is derived from Leviticus 25: 39–55 and explains that they could be ruled and sold as slaves. For the Puritans and citizens of the colony, "strangers" would eventually mean Native Americans and Africans.[1][2][3]
