Take the High Road (renamed High Road from 1994 to 2003) was a Scottish soap opera which ran for 23 years. It was produced by Scottish Television. It was set in the fictional village of Glendarroch, and exteriors were filmed in the real-life village of Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. Also features the fictional town of Auchtarne, across Loch Darroch and Ardvaine crofts part of Glendarroch estate. Other neighbouring estates Letterfalloch - estate and golf course (latterly owned by Greg Ryder) Ardnamarra ( owned by Sam Hagan and managed by Davie Sneddon )
