A couple of profiles on Wikitree and another few around the genealogical sites of the internet refer to the Wynne family coming from Bronvadog in Flintshire. Some also add the name of the associated village, Yskeiviog. Neither of these places exist.

Both of these highlight the anglicisation of Welsh names. There is no letter v in Welsh. A single f is pronounced like the English v and a double ff pronounced like the English f.

Therefore it is easy to see that the village is [[Category: Ysceifiog, Flintshire|Ysceifiog]]. Once that had been established one could search for Bronfadog. This turned out to be Bron Fadoc the ancestral home of the Wynne's in Flintshire, North Wales. [1]
