In the 1920's my grandfather Carl W. Bogue Sr. (Bogue-690) lost his father and his mother was forced to place him and his siblings in the orphan home in Council Bluffs, IA, while she worked to save money until they could return to farm in IN. I know very little about this institution but there are some pictures in family collections I want to share here.
