The Pieternelle - Petronella de la Montagne Collection

There are several women named Pieternelle/Petronella/etc. de la Montagne/Montagne/Montanye/etc. in early New York. They have different life dates and they do not belong to the same generation, but it may be difficult to distinguish them because the name is unusual and the name variants don't always come up in searches.

The roster (please add others if you find them):

Pieternella Pyckes, 1634-1663, wife of Jean (Mousnier) de la Montagne Jr (1633-1672). The other Pieternellas presumably were named for her.
Petronella/Pieternelle de la Montagne (bef.1671-1710), born in New York, New York, parents are Jean de Lamontagne and Marritie Waldron. Said to have married Peter See (abt.1668-1730) in 1694, but there is no record for this marriage, and some researchers believe that Peter See married Pieternella Storm (bef.1661-) (not Petronella de la Montagne). This is a genealogical conflict needing to be resolved; others have failed to resolve it, so we are unlikely to do better, but at least we need good reasons for what we decided to publish.
Pieternelle de la Montagne (bef.1683-1770) - Parents are Johannes de la Montagne and Annetje Waldron. Identified as the wife of Jacob Brouwer (1684-1765); married 1709 in New York, New York.
