- Your Great grandmother's half-brother, Jasper L Worthing (1894-1914) died as a result of a knife fight. Your Great grandmother, Mary Catherine (Phillips) Reed, was the informant on the death certificate. He never knew his parents as he was about 2 when his mother died after getting hit with a broomstick (above)

- Your Great grandmother's sister, Fern Martha (Cooley) Thorpe (1895-1997) lived to the age of 101.
- Your 6x great grandfather Johann Wilhelm (Pees) Pace was a Loyalist who had his property confiscated in New Jersey and was imprisoned during the Revolutionary War. He sought refuge in Canada and settled in Ontario, Canada. He petitioned and received crown land.
- Your second great uncle, Creed Lay recognized a man who had been missing and presumed dead since the Battle of Shiloh, in 1862 when he wandered back into the area in 1891, changing vague memories that he might have lived there once. He had been struck in the head during the battle, then suffered in Andersonville POW camp before being taken to Florida by one of the prison guards when the camp was taken by the Union. After being recognized and given care he began to regain some of his memory.

- Your 4th great grandmother Sarah Ensign's lineage extends back to James Ensign who came to Connecticut during The Great Migration (1620-1640). James was from the town of Rye in Essex, England. He was a founder of Hartford, Connecticut.
- Your 3rd great grandfather Giles Sanford Cooley was active in politics and I thought the "Hayes & Wheeler Pole/Lantern" was a interesting show of support for the presidential ticket. I also found Giles' obituary which is attached to his profile.
