Needs Work
If you have some time, please take a look at one of these profiles and show it some love. It may need narrative written, additional sources found, or research notes followed up on. Thank you!
- Reynold married Myra - I am confused - I thought she was a Pink and from England and changed it to Austin - who was American and then could not decide ?? ? Fresh eyes should sort it out- Thank you t was Reynold Arthur Gazley who is shown as married to Myra Austin.
- Reynold Cyril Gazley needs a researcher who has Newspapers.com access, I believe. Because he died sometime after 1937, we won't find any Cdn. death records in free online sites. Does not appear in FG or BG. I don't see him on newspapers.com or in the FindMyPast newspapers. Someone else may have better luck (Silva-1055)

- ParkerSeven degrees from Alton Parker through his son-in-law Eugene Steele (1929-2001) we find Dr. Alfred Schmitz Shadd, the first Black doctor in the prairie provinces. Due to financial hardship, he left university to teach school in Kinistino, North-West Territories (now SK), for a year. He then finished his medical degree at the University of Toronto and returned to Kinistino to practice medicine, later practicing in Melfort, Saskatchewan. He also farmed, bred cattle, ran a drugstore, owned and edited a town newspaper Carrot River Journal, and in 1905 came within 52 votes of being Canada's first Black provincial legislator, running for the Equal Rights Party. - Elijah Marsden (1881-1935), six degrees from Elsie May Taylor, was literally picked up in the air and hurled into an oncoming car when the baskets he was carrying on his shoulders were hit with a strong gust of wind, becoming parachutes. He succumbed to his injuries later that day.
- Chief Thomas Marsden, six degrees from Elsie May Taylor, it was found, was the Chief of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation for about 5 years, until his death in 1931 at the age of 67.
- ChingAh Lung (-1877) whose funeral was attended by Sam Ching (abt.1854-) in 1877 should probably be renamed LNAB: 無姓 which means "no surname" and Current Last Name: Unknown; Proper First Name: 龍 with Nickname: Ah Lung. (Or something. Figuring this out is a work in progress.) "Lung" is a very common given name in Cantonese. In Cantonese "Ah" is a commonly used diminutive or friendly prefix (a bit like Newfoundlanders might say "Buddy-Lung" or others might say "Billy" or "Old Bill" instead of "Bill"). "Mo Meng Si" means "No Name Somebody" and is used like Anglos use "Unknown" if we know neither first name nor last. In other words, his name is Lung Unknown, and all his friends referred to him as "Friend Lung." (Or something. We have to make do with the fields that are available in WikiTree. I will get the proper Pictograms presently, along with the names of the others, and post them all in the profiles.) Boyce-3841

- Ching Our humble friend Ah Lung (-1877) was buried in the same cemetery as and 16 years after the leader of the 1837 Rebellion, first mayor of Toronto, and Father of Confederation: William Lyon Mackenzie (1795-1861). (I think that is really cool.) Boyce-3841

Brick Wall Ancestors

- Henry Madden Howard (abt.1825-1901) Upper Canada
- Sam Ching (abt.1854-) China
- Sonya (Vitechnofsky) Rosenfeld (abt.1883-1954) Russian Empire
- Alexander Skeldoch (abt.1784-) Scotland (added parents Liz
- Robert Mitchell (abt.1828-1909) Scotland
- Charles Joiner (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Joiner-1640) on the Brick Wall list. There was a different Charles Joiner in Loughborough Township, Frontenac County, Ontario in about 1840, and he was still around the area in the 1851 and 1860 Censuses. (Loughborough Twp is just north of Kingston, Ont. Today it is about 6 hours drive from Oxford Township, so back then it would have been several days' travel.) So not the same guy, but maybe shared parents or grandparents...? Many of the early settlers in Loughborough were Loyalists who left NY between 1792 and 1820.
- I did not create a profile for him as my to-do list is already overflowing and he is not a relative of mine. Now the small world part: he purchased land from a loyalist ancestor of mine (Abraham Boyce) and was a witness in a dispute over title to an adjacent parcel of land. Lots of starting points in the Research Notes to my GGGG Grandfather. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Boyce-3885 under the heading: "Deed of Bargain and Sale (N.458), dated 14 March 1840 (transcribed)" Alan Boyce - January 9, 2023

- WikiTree AGC This addon is to clean up gedcom 'clutter' once we've connected to existing profiles. It is awesome at cleaning up the gedcoms and putting the source information together.
- WikiTree BEE This addon is great for a lot of things, but the main help for the Challenge is the 'auto-bio' button that it puts on the profiles. This will give you basic narrative you can add to.There is a WikiTree BEE extension available for Chrome and Firefox users.
- The Background Images Category contains pages that you can find a large variety of background images on. Most of them are tiled (repeatable) images.
