This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Shenton of
Mountsorrel in the Parish of Rothley and County of Leicester Bricklayer
I give and devise to my Nephew John Wale Baker of Mountsorrel aforesaid
my Messuage and Tenement with the appurtenances thereunto belonging in
Mountsorrel aforesaid now in my own occupation Also three Tenements
in the Parish of Barrow upon Soar in the said County now in the
occupation of William Platts James Cook and John Winterton to him
and his Heirs upon Trust. I give Devise and bequeath to my
Brother William Shenton Slater and my Sisters Lydia Wale and
Sarah Baum all my Messuages and Tenements with the appurtenances
thereunto belonging in Mountsorrel and Barrow upon Soar before
mentioned to them their Heirs executors administrators and assigns
for ever in equal shares that is share and share alike Also I Give
to my Brother William Shenton and Sisters Lydia Wale and Sarah
Baum aforesaid all my Household Furniture and Personal Property of
every kind whatsoever in equal shares And I hereby charge my Real
and Personal Estate with my funeral Expences and of proving this my
Will and carrying the same into execution and I hereby nominate
constitute and appoint my aforesaid Nephew John Wale Executor of
this my Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this nineteenth day of September in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two - Edward
Shenton (LS) - Signed sealed published and declared by the above
named Edward Shenton the Testator as and for his last Will and
Testament in our presence as Witnesses who have hereunto signed
our names in his presence at his request and in the presence of each

Proved 2nd February 1833 before the Hon[ora]ble and
Rev[eren]d Henry David Erskine Clerk M A Commissary
&c upon the Oath of John Wale the Sole Executor to
whom was granted execution &c - Sworn under
One Hundred Pounds.
