This is the Last Will and Testament of me James
Bendy of Steeple Ashton in the County of Wilts Blacksmith
being of sound mind and memory and calling to mind the
uncertainty of the time of this Mortal Life do give and
dispose of my Estate and Effects as followeth that is to say
First I give to my Daughter Jane the Lease hold Tenement
now in the possession of William Sims and the Garden there
to belonging and the use of the Well in Common with the Occupier
of the other Tenement To hold to my said Daughter Jane
from and immediately after the death of my wife for and
during the Estate Term and Interest that I have therein
Also I give to my Daughter Ann all the Lease hold Tenement
and Garden thereunto belonging and the use of the Well in com[m]on
with the Occupier of the other Tenement which said tenement
is now in the possession of William Baggs to hold the said
Tenement and premisses unto the said Ann for and during
all the Estate Term and Interest I have therein from and
after the death of my Wife Also I give and Devise unto
my Wife Frances Bendy all my Tenement Garden and
Backside thereunto belonging to hold to her and her Heirs
Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever Also
All my Estate of what nature or kind soever not
herein before given I give unto Frances my Wife
And do make her my said Wife Sole Executrix of
this my Will In Witness whereof I the said James
Bendy have to this my said Will set my hand this
15th day of February One thousand Seven hundred and
Sixty five.

Know all men by these presents That we William Shepherd of
Steeple Ashton in the County of Wilts Blacksmith and
Daniel Hill of the same place Shoemaker...

The condition of this obligation is such That if Ann Shepherd Wife of the above
bounden William Shepherd lawful Daughter of James Bendy late of Steeple
Ashton aforesaid and Archdeaconry of Sarum Deceased

And Administration of all & Singular the Goods Chattles & Credits of the s[ai]d James Bendy
together with his last Will & Testament in writing annexed (Frances Bendy ^his wido[w] the sole
Executrix named therein dying before she had taken on her the Burthen and
Execution of the said Will)...
