This is the last Will
and Testament of me John Cannon of Maidenhead in
the County of Berks Butcher which I make publish
abd declare in manner following (that is to say) First
I give and devise to my Brother Henry Cannon
All that my Freehold Messuage or Tenement and
Shop Slaughter house Outhouses Yard Garden and
Premises with the appurtenances now in my own
Occupation situate in the parish of Cookham in
the Town of Maidenhead aforesaid To hold to my
said Brother Henry Cannon his Heirs and Assigns
for ever Subject to the Subject Payment of two
Shillings weekly and every weekly and every week
to my Sister Mary Wife of Joseph Taft for and
during the Term of her natural life which I do
hereby give and bequeath to her to and for her
sole and separate use and not to be subject to the
Debts or Controul of her said Husband and her
Receipt alone to be a sufficient discharge with
Power od distress and Sale for Non payment thereof
I give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth
Cannon Spinster now living with me the Sum of
twenty pounds Also to my Sister Sarah Wife or
Widow of Thomas Goldfinch the Sum of Ten pounds
and to my Sister Susannah Wife of [blank] Trindall
of Windsor or Eton the Sum of ten pounds Also I
give and bequeath unto my Nephew William
Cannon now living with me the Sum of forty
pounds and to my Nephew John Cannon Brother
of the said William Cannon the Sum of twenty
pounds and to my niece Sarah Cannon Spinster
Sister to my said two Nephews the Sum of five
pounds all which said several Legacies I direct to
be paid at the Expiration of One Year next after my

my Decease in case the said several Legatees
shall then be living or if any or either of them
shall be then dead leaving Children his her or
their Share or Shares so dying shall be divided
amongst his her or their Children equally or if but
one to such only Child And all the rest residue and
remainder of my Estates real and personal
whatsoever I give devise and bequeath to my said
Brother Henry Cannon To hold to him his Heirs
Executors Administrators and Assigns and I nominate
and appoint my said Brother Henry Cannon sole
Executor of this my last Will and Testament
hereby revoking and making void all former Wills
by me at any time heretofore made In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal
the fifth day of December in the year of our Lord

This Will was proved at London on the
fourth day of March in the Year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and nine before the
Right Honorable Sir John Nicholl Knight Doctor
of Laws Master Keeper of Commissary at the
Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted
by the Oath of Henry Cannon the Brother of
the deceased and sole Executor named in the said
Will to whom Administration was granted of all
and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of
the said deceased he having been first sworn
by Commission duly to administer .-
