In the name of God Amen I John Wale, in the Parish of Sheepshead
in the County of Leicester, Labourer, being of sound and disposing mind, memory,
and understanding praised be God for the same, do make this my last Will and
Testament, in manner and form following. -
First I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid out of my
Effects, and Estate, by my Executors herein after named. - Item. at my decease
I give, devise and bequeath, unto my Dear and loving Wife, Elizabeth Wale; all that
my Cottage or Tenement with the homestead and appurtenances, whatsoever, belonging
thereto, situate standing and being at Burton on the Woulds, in the said County of
Leicester. And also all my Lands, Cottages, Tenements, Hereditaments, and Appurtenances
whatsoever situate, standing, and being in Sheepshead in the said County of Leicester,
(or within the fields, liberties, precincts or territories thereof) during the term of her
natural Life; And from and immediately after the decease of my said Wife, I give
devise, and bequeath the aforesaid Cottages, Lands, Tenements Hereditaments and Apper-
-tenances whatsoever unto my two Daughters Elizabeth Brooks Wale and Mary
Ann Wale their Heirs or Assigns forever, to be divided equally betwixt them, share
and share alike. Also my Will is that at my said Wifes decease (if she be the longer
liver) that all the Goods, Chattels, Money, Securities for Money, be qually divided betwixt
my before mentioned Daughters, share and share alike. And I do hereby constitute
and appoint my said Dear Wife and my before mentioned daughter Elizabeth Brooks
Wale joint joint Executrix's of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness hereof I the
said John Wale have hereunto set my Hand and Seal, this 31st Day of July in
the year of our Lord, 1815.
