This is the last Will and Testament
of me Mary Cannon of Maidenhead in the Parish of Bray in County
of Berks Spinster being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind
memory and understanding thanks be to God for the same do make this my
last Will and Testament in writing in manner and form following (that is to
say) first I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences br
paid by my Executor hereinafter named out of the money which I have in
the Savings Bank of Maidenhead and I give and bequeath to my dear son
William Cannon of the Angel Inn Reading in the County of Berks Waiter
and to my son John Cannon of Low Brooks Farm in the Parish of Bray in the
County of Berks Servant the sum of twenty five pounds a piece of lawful
money of Great Britain to be paid to each of them immediately after my
decease Also I give and bequeath to my Sister Sarah (now Sarah A
Abrahams and to her husband William Abrahams of Maidenhead aforesaid
Shoe maker the sum of five pounds to be equally divided between them
share and share alike also I give and bequeath to my Sister Sarah Abrahams
and to my daughter in law Sarah Cannon Wife of my Son William
Cannon and to my niece Elizabeth Rumbell (late Elizabeth Abrahams
and now the Wife of John Rumbell of Maidenhead in the County of Berks
Barber all my wearing apparel which I shall die possessed ^of at the time
of my decease to be equally divided between them share and share alike
and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint John Higgs of Maidenhead
in the County of Berks Farrier Executor of this my last Will and Testament
and direct that my Executor may be paid all expences attending the execution
hereof In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Mary Cannon have hereunto
set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of October in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and nineteen - The mark of Mary Cannon (L.S.)

This is a Codicil to my last Will and Testament dated the fifteenth
day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
nineteen I give and bequeath to Betssy Rumball two pounds sterling
money to purchase her a black gown and instead of the five pounds given
in my said Will to my Sister Sarah Abrahams and her husband William
Abrahams to be equally divided between them I give and bequeath to the
said William Abrahams five pounds and to my Sister Sarah Abrahams
five pounds As to all the Residue and Remainder of my property of all and
whatsoever description of which I may die possessed I give and bequeath
it in equal portions share and share alike to my dear Sons William Cannon
now of the Angel Inn Reading and John Cannon now of Lowbrooke
Farm in the Parish of Bray as Witness my hand this seventeenth day
of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen

Proved at London with a Codicil 22 November 1819 before the
Worshipful Thomas Blake Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of
John Higgs the sole Executor to whom administration was granted having
been first sworn duly to administer /
