This is the Will and Testament of me
Nathaniel Shenton of Husbands Bosworth in the County of Leicester Builder First
I give and devise all those my messuages tenements and hereditaments situate and
being at Husbands Bosworth aforesaid and all other my real Estate whatsoever and
whereoever Unto and to the use of my dear wife Hannah Shenton and her
assigns for and during the term of her natural life if she shall so long continue my
Widow sole and unmarried without impeachment of or for any manner of waste and
from and after the decease or second marriage of my said wife Then I give and
devise the same unto and to the use of my Son John Snelson Shenton his heirs

and assigns for ever Next I give and bequeath all and household Goods plate linens
brewing vessels and furniture of every sort and description and all my housekeeping
Stores wines fuel and other provisions of that kind unto my said wife Hannah
Shenton for her own use and benefit Next I give and bequeath all the rest residue
and remainder of my Goods chattels eefects ready money securities for money and
all other personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto and
to the use of the said Hannah Shenton and John Snelson Shenton their executors
and administrators Upon Trust that they or the survivor of them his or her
executors or administrators do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my
decease sell and convert into money to the most advantage such part thereof as
shall not consist of money or debts owing to me and collect and get in such debts
and by and out of the neat monies to arise from my said personal estate In
the first place do and shall pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences
and as concerning the residue of the said neat monies do and shall place out and
invest the same in their his or her own names or name upon such Government
or real security or securities as they he or she think proper and from time to
time at discretion alter vary and change such security or securities for any other or
others of a like nature And Upon Trust that they my said Trustees or the Survivor
of them or the Executoes or administrators of such survivor do and shall pay
apply and dispose of the dividends interest and produce of the monies so to be placed
out as aforesaid as the same shall from time to time be received unto and for the
use and benefit of my said wife Hannah Shenton and her assigns for and during
the term of her natural life if she shall so long continue my widow and from and
after her decease or second marriage which shall firsy happen Then as to the said
principal Trust monies and premises and the security or securities upon which the
same shall be invested Upon Trust to pay or retain the same unto my said Son
John Snelson Shenton his Executors administrators or assigns for his or ther own
absolute use and benefit And I appoint my said wife Hannah Shenton and my
said Son John Snelson Shenton Executrix and Executor of this my last
Will and Testament And I hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any
time theretofore In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixth
day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty

Nathaniel Shenton / the Testator / as and for his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other
have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto - Saml Berridge - Nath:

Proved at London 12th May 1832 before the Judge by the oath of John
Snelson Shenton the son and one of the Executors to whom adm[inistrati]on was granted
having been first sworn in by Com[missi]on duly to administer power reserved on making
the life grant to Hannah Shenton widow the relict the other Executor when she
shall apply for the same./.
