In the Name of God Amen
I William Seymour Esquire commonly called Lord
William Seymour of Seend in the County of Wilts being
of sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding
and reflecting upon the Certainty of my Dissolution
and the uncertainty of the time of its happening Do
hereby make publish and declare this to be my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following
that is to say First I give and bequeath unto my
dear Wife Hester Seymour commonly called Lady Hester
Seymour All my Stock of Wines and Beer and all other
Consumable Household Articles which may be in and
about my Mansion or Dwelling House and Premisses
to her during her life the use of all my Plate Linen
China and all other my Household Goods and Furniture
my Carriage Horses and Harness and all other my
Goods and Effects which shall be in and about my
said Mansion or Dwelling House and Premisses at the
time of my decease except such as are hereinafter
specifically given to my dear Son the Reverend Edward
Seymour Also I give unto my Servant Joseph Phillips
the Sum of One hundred pounds over and above the
wages which may be due to him at the time of my
decease Also I give and bequeath unto my said Son
my Paintings and Plants and Insects Comprised in
three folio Volumes and all other my Paintings and
Drawings both in Oil and Water Colours and of that
nature or kind soever my Cabinets of Insects and
other Specimens of Natural History my Fowling Pieces
and all other my Fire Arms all my Books and all
and singular other my Personal Estate and Effects
not hereinbefore disposed of and after the decease of
my said Wife all my Household Goods and other
Effects whereof the use is given to her for her life
and I do hereby express a full Confidence that my
said Son will in a reasonable time after my decease
cause all my Just Dects to be paid and discharged
And lastly I do hereby make nominate and appoint
my said Son sole Executor of this my last Will and
Testament hereby revoking all other Wills by me
at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and Seal the first day
of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand
seven hundred and ninety nine Willm Seymour [LS]

Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court
of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of
The Right Honourable and Reverend Edward
Seymour Clerk the son of the deceased and the sole
Executor named in the said Will to whom Administration
of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of
the said deceased was granted having been first sworn
duly to Administer.
