How can I use this page?
The ultimate aim of Wikitree is to profile and connect everyone. So the aim of this page is to profile and connect everyone who appeared on This Is Your Life.
- -Many guests may already have Wikitree profiles, if you find one please add its link to this page. If the page is connected to the Big Tree, please mark it Connected.
- -The more notable guests probably have Wikipedia pages. This is a good starting point for research that may eventually lead to their being profiled or connected. You can hyperlink to their Wikipedia page by putting the link in square brackets. It is recommended you link to the text (wiki) so they read differently to people that already have Wikitree profiles. eg; Lupino Lane (wiki). If they are living individuals you can substitute the word "Living" for "wiki".
- -For less notable guests you may have to do a bit of detective work. For UK guests, there will be clues on their programme page on the Big Red Book website (for example, see the page for Clarence Wolfe) such as birth location, birth year and they may have parents or siblings as guests.
- -Try and find them on your usual genealogy sites, then see if they have relatives, or relatives of relatives on Wikitree they can connect to.
- -Every guest on the US version is now on the index but they are all marked "N/C" until someone checks to see if they have a profile. The UK guests have mostly been checked and updated, but some may have been missed.
- -If the guest has a profile that does not contain a lot of information you may wish to mark their appearance on This Is Your Life. If they have their own page on the UK BigRedBook website, you should link to that (eg "(Person) appeared on This Is Your Life in (year).") within the biography/chronology. At the bottom of the profile (often there is a section called See Also) you can connect to this page (eg "Indexed at This Is Your Life"). This will help direct browsing visitors to this page where they may find more people who interest them.
- -Perhaps you can extend this page with indices for guests in your own country's version of the show?

The BBC cancelled This Is Your Life in 1964.
However, it was revived in 1969 by a rival, commercial channel, Thames Television. The programme now had its familiar theme tune and was shown in colour. It featured "ordinary" people much less frequently, as shows about celebrities tended to get higher ratings.
UK: Revival on ITV
UK Series 10 (Thames)
Producer: Robert Tyrell (series 10-11)
Theme tune: Gala Performance by Laurie Johnson

In June 2003, Michael Aspel announced he would be leaving the show after his final recording of the series.
This Is Your Life was axed for the second and final time in October 2003.
It did return for a single one-off show in 2007 hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald, in which the subject was once again Simon Cowell, previously featured in 2003.
