EDMUND ROBINSON, with the Conservatory, Gardens, Coach-Houses, Stables, and requisite Conveniences, suitable for the Residence of a Family, with Eighty Acres of Superior GRASS LAND, or any less Quantity; together with the Exclusive RIGHT of SHOOTING over Nineteen Hundred Acres or thereabouts, well stocked with Game, and adjoining upon Manors strictly preserved.

- Note by Martin C. Styan: The website findmypast has many examples of this advertisement in newspapers around this time. It is dated 3 March 1847, but this example from 21 August 1847 is the earliest that could be found (9 Dec 2022). On 25 September 1847 the Leeds Intelligencer (page 5, findmypast) reported the withdrawal of the advertisement. Similar advertisements for tenants of the “Mansion at Thorp Green” appear in newspapers from the 1850s and early 1860s (findmypast).
