My Great Grandfather, Frederick W Thurow is first referenced in 1880 Waller County, Texas census with father Charles.
I have not found any other references to Charles, unknown date and location of death. All I know from 1880 census is that He and son Frederick migrated to USA in 1864. Cannot find him on 1870 census or any other reference.
Frederick was a well established Botanist with flora named for him and is referenced often, along with family, throughout Waller County and Houston area in Texas. One reference mentions he came from Black Hills area of Germany.
