About Time Team
Time Team was an archaeology series on television in which each week the team would investigate/excavate a different historical site - in three days. The series ran for twenty years and sparked a huge interest in archaeology. The programme itself has been exported to 35 countries. All episodes have been listed here.

Sometimes the sites would be connected to a historical figure (such as Edward the Confessor), sometimes to an antiquarian or archaeologist who had excavated there a century before (such as Basil Brown). This Topic is to check that they have profiles on WikiTree. Some episodes mentioned historical figures; some episodes were dedicated to prehistory, locations, styles of buildings, ways of life, cemeteries, and experimental archaeology such as making stone thrones, horse bits, and Neolithic bowls. Roman villas, bathhouses, temples, and mosaics featured heavily, together with the English Civil War, Norman castles, and the palaces of King Henry VIII.
Now crowdfunded, the series has been rebooted due to popular demand (eight years after the original series ended). Two new episodes were filmed in 2021 (and shown in 2022). Plans are underway for future episodes.
