I Roger Snow of Sandford within the the parish of
Crediton in the Countye of Devon yeoman being sick
in bodie but in good and perfect memorie (thanks be to Almightie
God) doe make this my last will and testament im manner and forme
following xxx xxxx xxx my Soule to the hand
of Almightie God my Creator and by the xxx of Jesus Christ
and in and By him my [lord?] do bequeath my bodie for the Christian
Buriall. Then I give and bequeath unto the poor of Sandford
ffortie shillings lawfull money & twenty shillings to be bestowed
upon xxx xxxx. And another twentie shillings to be
Distributed according to the discretion of my and overseers
hereafter named within one month after my [demise/ decease?] to be
paid by my executrix hereafter named Also I give and bequeath
unto Johane my dear beloved wife the sum of one hundred pounds
To be paid unto her within xxx months of xxx and immediately
after my decease But xxx [she/shall?] at any time hereafter it shall
[appear?] that my said wife hath by any collusion of deceiptfull
wayes brought me in debt unto any person or persons what
soever that then my will and meaning is that xxx xxx money
as she hath brought me indebted shall be xxx unto her only
the hundred pounds hereby given and bequethed unto her as
aforesaid And also my intent and meaning is that whereas
hereater in this my last will and testament I have given and
bequeathed unto Johane my daughter all the right xxx
xxx and xxx xxxxxxxx
tyme of my death of and in that messuage and tenement or
dwelling house lying and being at Bowdon hill in the East
xxx of Crediton that if xxx the said messuage or xxx
Dwelling house shall at any tyme hereafter during the life
time of Johane my wife be burnt or destroyed by [means] that
then the said Johane my wife shall pay xxx towards .....

out of the hundred pounds before mentionned And also I do
give and bequeath unto Elizabeth and Mary my daughters

executors administrators and assigned of the survivor of them
shall have and enjoye the whole ....
