FAMILIES OF HENRY BLAGBURN AND PORTER. Written on the fly leaves of a large folio Bible with practical observations on each chapter by the late Rev Mr Ostervald etc Newcastle upon Tyne 1791. Now (1874) in the possession of John Vaughan of Dalby Square Cliftonville Margate.
Joseph Henry and Mary Holliday was married the third day of December 1799. George Henry of Brampton married Mary Hetherington June 3d 1762. The following are their children:-
Ann Henry born March 22d 1763 died Feb 3d 1821 unmarried. Margaret Henry born Septr 21st 1764, married John Meekley of London; and her second husband James Imrie of Fife Scotland. John Henry born Feby 8th 1767, died in his 9th year. Joseph Henry born Novr 24th 1769, died Decr 29th 1819, and was interred St Cuthbert, in the City of Carlisle. John Henry born Novr 16th 1771, died in his infancy.

Joseph and Mary Henry were married at St Cuthbert's Carlisle December the third 1799. Joseph Henry died Dec 29th 1819, aged 50. Mary Henry born Nov 28th 1777, died March 1, 1843. Christopher Henry was born Novr 27th 1800. Mary Ann Henry was born Feby 16th 1803. Married at Stanwix Mary Ann married William Blagburn of Newcastle-upon-Tyne May 2d 1831. Mary Ann Blagburn died Aug 24th 1839, leaving two children Joseph Henry and Ruth. Margaret Henry was born May 9 1805. Margret Henry died when two years and eight months old. Joseph Henry born September 5, 1808. Joseph Henry married Mary Lees Jackson of Manchester March 1st 1836; the ceremony was performed at Stanwix church. Joseph Henry died at Manchester Jan 1 1868. Margaret Henry born November 25 1811, married at St Cuthbert's Carlisle Margaret Henry married John Francis Porter of Carlisle July 31st 1833. George Henry was born May 17 1818. George Henry died April 26th 1836.
Joseph Henry Blagburn, the son of William and Mary Ann Blackburn, born at Newcastle-on-Tyne March 4th 1832, and Ruth Blagburn born Jan 30th 1836.
The following are the children of Joseph and Mary Lees Henry:-
Mary Cardwell Henry born Feby 10th 1837, baptised at Stanwix church July 16, 1837. Margaret Henry born April 1839.
Margaret Porter died at London Aug 1 1841, leaving the following children:- Mary, John, Francis, Joseph, George, and William; William died Feb 14th 1842, and was interred beside his mother in West London Semitary.
John Francis Porter died Jan 26 1865, aged 54 years. Interred at Wallasey Cheshire. William Blagburn died at Manchester March 1866. The above is a true copy made by me this 17th day of October, 1874, G. E. COKAYNE, Lancaster Herald, College of Arms, London.
