In the name of God, Amen

The third day of September in the thirde yere of the Ringn of our Sovreign Lord Kinge Edwarde the Syxth and in the yere of our Lorde God A Thousand Fyive Hundreth Fourty and Nyne I Robert Asshefeld of Stovalangtofe in the Countie of Suff. [ILLEGIBLE] of hole mynde and [ILLEGIBLE] rememberament but weake in body make and ordeyne this my present testament and last will in maner and forme followynge renowncynge all my forsaid willes and testaments at any tyme or tymes by by me made eyther in writinge or by mouth [ILLEGIBLE XXOBEY?] and will that no p[er]son nor p[er]sones take any advantage by reason of theyre [ILLEGIBLE] and before all thinges I remand my soule unto Allmighty God my only creator and my body to the grounde to be buryed near the chancell of the parisshe church of Stovalangtofte aforesaid beside the sepulchure of my wyves. [ILLEGIBLE MARK] I gyve and bequeath towards the [ILLEGIBLE] of the poore householdes of Stovolangtofte aforsayd that is to say to every poore household using the same [farme?] in busshells of maulte and one busshell of Rye to be devyided unto evry of the said householdes within one weeke neyt after my decease. [ILLEGIBLE MARK] I gyve and bequeathe unto evry poore household beyinge [ILLEGIBLE] the townes and [ILLEGIBLE] Asshefelde and [Illegible] one busshell of malte to be devyded unto them [ILLEGIBLE] as I have devysed to be [desyned or devyded] unto the households of Stow. aforesaid. [ILLEGIBLE MARK] I gyve and bequeath to eyther of my two Daughters that is to say Anne and Marye to eyther of them the some of one hundreth pounds of good and lawful money to be devyded unto ether of them by my agent undernamed or by the [ILLEGIBLE] of them or by the [extent?] of the [ILLEGIBLE] of my aygent the day of there [finall] maryage yf the said somes of money shall so partly come in to the hands or possessyon of my said agent or of any one of them [ILLEGIBLE] at [ILLEGIBLE] tyme as the said Anne and Marye my said daughters and eyther of them [ILLEGIBLE] shall [ILLEGIBLE] and be of them [ILLEGIBLE] aged of [ILLEGIBLE] and if it shall [ILLEGIBLE] my said daughters Anne and Marye or any one of them to decasse before the or any one of them be married or beforethey or any one of them [ILLEGIBLE] them [ILLEGIBLE] to descase to be equally devyded by my said agent or the legal heyer.
